Youth-Led Climate Action at CECARE Symposium Kaimosi Friends University Today, at the Kaimosi Friends University's Centre of Excellence for Climate Action (CECARE), the Vihiga Youth WASH Parliament proudly joined stakeholders from government, civil society, and academia to advance climate resilience efforts under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action Program (FLLOCA). We presented a concept note on Circular Economy through Insect Farming (BSF & Vermiculture) as a solution for managing the 60% organic waste within Vihiga—approximately 48 tonnes daily! By engaging youth in sustainable waste management, we drive climate action, inclusivity, and greater impact for a greener future. 🌿♻️ We hope our proposal will be considered by the Department of Environment Water Energy Natural Resources & Climate Change for FLLOCA funding, allowing us to scale innovative solutions that empower communities while addressing waste and climate challenges.
