*A DAY WELL SPENT @Mumboha Primary School JSS* Inaugural Eco-EdVantage School Mentorship Initiative 27th/05/2025 A huge thank you to all the partners, collaborators, and generous donors who contributed sanitary towels—your support made a real difference. Special appreciation to Asikhale Youth Empowerment CBO, KNCCI-VIHIGA, Mega Motive, IGrow Africa Centre, Joyful Eco Minds, EVIMNET, Vihiga Scouts Association, The Green Embassy Kenya and others for their commitment to this initiative. One of the biggest wins from the our very first Eco-EdVantage School Mentorship Initiative program is the agreement with Mumboha Primary School to establish a WASH club, which will play a crucial role in sustaining the program and promoting peer-to-peer education. However, some key gaps were identified: - Inadequate toilets , affecting sanitation and hygiene. - No water tanks for rainwater harvesting, limiting access to clean water. - Insufficient handwashing points/taps, making hygiene practices challenging. - Proper landscaping. We call on the Ministry of Education, County Government, elected leaders, enthusiasts, and all concerned individuals and organizations to step forward and support these efforts to improve the school's WASH infrastructure.
