President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Science in Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

*Ritman University Post-UTME/DE 2025: Eligibility & Registration Details are out*
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into Undergraduate Degree Programmes of the Ritman University for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Applicants are required to have taken the JAMB examinations with a score of 140 and above. Ritman University charges administrative cost of N2,000 for Post-UTME screening. *UNILORIN Secures 100% NUC Accreditation*
With 36 of the 37 courses it presented for the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise securing full accreditation and the remaining one getting interim accreditation, the University of Ilorin has again upped the ante of its Better-by-far appellation.

*NDA postpones 77 Regular Course Screening Test*
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) wishes to inform the general public and all applicants to the 77 Regular Course that the NDA Screening Test earlier scheduled for Saturday 24 May 2025 has been postponed. This decision is consequent upon the NDA’s respect for equal opportunity and to avoid disenfranchisement of any candidate. A new date for the screening test will be announced in due course.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to three academic programmes at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai. The accredited programmes include, Mass Communication, Computer Science, and Biology.

Gombe State University (GSU) has secured full accreditation for six of its academic programmes across three Faculties. The accredited programmes include: Business Administration, Faculty of Arts and Social Science; Education English and Education History, Faculty of Education; Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Biology and Geology, Faculty of Science.

*FUD gets NUC accreditation to run 7 new programmes*
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given full accreditation to seven academic programmes of the University. The programmes are as follows; 1. B.SC Insurance. 2. B.Forestry. 3. B.sc Computing. 4. B.Ed Islamic Studies. 5. B.Ed Library and Information Science. 6. B.Ed Primary Education. 7. B.Sc. Biotechnology. According to the report, the full accreditation status is valid for five years.

*NUC ACCREDITS 28 ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES FOR ZAMFARA STATE UNIVERSITY*
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited all 28 academic programmes for Zamfara State University, Talata-Mafara. Some of the accredited programmes are BNSc. Nursing Science, BSc. Public Health, BSc. Physiotherapy, BSc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics, BSc. Computer Science, BSc. Biology, BSc. Geology, BSc. Mass Communication, BSc. Economics and BSc. Electronics. The rest are BA History and International Studies, BA English, BA Islamic Studies, BEd. Primary Education and BEd. Early Childhood Education among others.

*SLU gets NUC full accreditation to run 12 new programmes*
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to twelve undergraduate Programmes of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK).
The approval which was conveyed to the University vide a letter referenced NUC/ES/412/VOL.14/387 and dated 30th April, 2025, signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation, Engineer Abraham Chundusu, entails that B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Business Management, B.Sc. Economics, B.Sc. Geography and B.Sc. Sociology taught in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences have gained the five year full NUC accreditation status.
In the Faculty of Education, B.A. (Ed) Arabic, B.A. (Ed) Hausa, B.A. (Ed) Islamic Studies, B.Sc. (Ed) Computer Sciences and B.A. (Ed)/ B.Sc. (Ed) Library and Information Sciences also gained the NUC’s full accreditation status.
In the Faculty of Humanities where B.A. English programme was among the programmes visited in the accreditation exercise eventually scored another full accreditation status.
Also, the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences records the full accreditation status of B.Sc. Biology programme offered in the Faculty.
