Ethiopia’s Reforestation Inspires Diplomatic Green Lagacy Tree Planting In Zimbabwe John Cassim The Zimbabwean government has launched the Diplomatic Green Legacy Tree Planting initiative, which aims to plant 1,000 trees on the outskirts of Harare. The initiative commenced on Thursday with the planting of over 20 trees by African diplomats. The event was led by the Dean of the diplomatic corps and Ambassador of Rwanda to Zimbabwe, James Musoni, at a National Heritage site. "Ethiopia is spearheading a green legacy initiative, championed by our Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, through which we have planted more than 30 billion trees in five years.
