Al-Hasan Al-Basrī ( رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ ) said: “To endure short-lived difficulties that are followed by long lasting ease, is better than hurrying for a short-lived ease that is followed by ever-lasting hardship.” [Al-Hilyah, 2/134]
