AL- Fawaid Purpose Of Washing The Limbs In Ablution Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah said, لما كانت هذه الأعضاء هي أكثر الأعضاء مباشرة للمعاصي كان وسخ الذنوب ألصق بها وأعلق من غيرها ، فشرع أحكم الحاكمين الوضوء عليها ليتضمن نظافتها وطهارتها من الأوساخ الحسية وأوساخ الذنوب والمعاصي. ❝Since these organs [the face and limbs] are in the most direct contact with wrong-doings, the stains of sins are most attached to them compared to other parts of the body, and therefore the Judge of judges (Allāh ﷻ) required that wudūʾ consist of washing these parts, to ensure their cleanliness and purity from physical stains and the stains of sins and wrong-doings.❞ (Miftāḥ Dār al-Saʿādah)
