*Update on Data Bundle Purchasing in Ghana*
Ghana's Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has announced changes to data bundle offerings by major telecommunications operators, effective July 1, 2025. Here's what's changing
- *MTN Ghana (15% increase)*:
- *399 Ghana cedi bundle*: Restored to 214 GB from 92.88 GB (previously reduced to 350 cedis)
- All data bundles will see a 15% price increase
- *AirtelTigo (10% increase)*:
- *400 Ghana cedi bundle*: Increased to 236 GB from 195 GB
- *Telecel Ghana (10% increase)*:
- *400 Ghana cedi bundle*: Increased to 250 GB from 90 GB
These changes aim to enhance value for Ghanaian consumers while addressing operational challenges faced by the telecom sector.
