*'Strike Update: Finance Minister Meets Tertiary Education Unions Over Book and Research Allowance* Finance Minister Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson has met with leaders of UTAG, TUTAG, and CETAG to discuss the disbursement of the Book and Research Allowance. He assured them the allowance is fully captured in the 2025 Budget and that steps are being taken in collaboration with the Education Ministry for its release. The unions also proposed the creation of a Labour Relations Desk within the Ministry, an initiative the Minister welcomed. He also briefed them on ongoing payroll audits by the Auditor-General, which have revealed ghost names, urging their support in cleaning the payroll to ensure integrity and save public funds.
