Ammo depot and four buildings destroyed in May 16 strike on 126th Coastal Defense Brigade in Perevalnoye, Crimea — ASTRA sources
More than 2,000 residents were evacuated, though local authorities did not officially confirm the evacuation.
ASTRA has uncovered the results of the May 16 attack on annexed Crimea. In the village of Perevalnoye, Simferopol district, drones hit an ammo depot on the grounds of military unit 12676, causing a detonation. Four additional buildings burned down, covering a total area of 5,000 square meters. Several soldiers were reportedly injured. No civilian casualties were reported.
ASTRA found that local authorities evacuated over 2,000 residents, some of whom were relocated to temporary shelters in the village of Dobroye. The exact location is known to the editorial team. Officials have not acknowledged the evacuation or confirmed the depot strike.
Earlier, Ukrainian outlet Suspilne Krym cited SBU sources reporting the strike on the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade’s ammo storage.
