National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi will table the 2025/2026 national budget before the National Assembly on Thursday, June 12. This will be Mbadi’s first budget presentation since taking office. The budget has been set at Ksh4.23 trillion, with the CS expected to detail the government’s revenue and spending priorities for the next financial year. Ahead of the presentation, Mbadi has repeatedly expressed his commitment to managing the delicate task of balancing Kenya’s mounting debt, growing expenditure, and public demand for services—without overburdening citizens with taxes.
