Mr. Smile Kobina Ametsi till last month has been Principal of the Accra School of Hygiene, located at Korle Bu in Ghana. Under his leadership, the institution has made significant strides in advancing environmental health education and public health training. Mr. Ametsi has overseen the introduction of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Sanitation program, affiliated with the University Of Cape Coast (UCC). This initiative aims to equip students with the necessary skills to address contemporary environmental health challenges. He played a pivotal role in formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Accra School of Hygiene and the Yale School of Nursing. This partnership focuses on promoting research, innovation, and the exchange of ideas to tackle global health issues. Under his guidance, the school has benefited from donations, such as library books from the Ghana Environmental Health Officers Association (GEHOA) and the Health Attitude Foundation, enhancing the institution's academic resources.
