Dr. Seiwu Bello A Champion of Student Welfare and Academic Excellence at Tamale School of Hygiene Till last month, Mr. Bello has been the Principal of the Tamale School of Hygiene in Ghana, Seiwu Bello has established himself as a stalwart advocate for the welfare of hygiene students. His leadership is marked by a deep commitment to improving the academic experience and overall well-being of students. One of the key issues he has been vocal about is the restoration of trainee allowances, which he believes has a direct impact on student enrollment. Bello has publicly expressed concerns that the removal of allowances has negatively affected the number of students willing to enroll in the program. He argues that this move has created financial hardships for many students, making it challenging for them to pursue their studies. Under his guidance, the school has become a platform for students to voice their concerns, confidence and fight for their rights. Beyond the issue of allowances, Bello has also highlighted several challenges facing the school. These include: Poor Infrastructure: The school's infrastructure is in dire need of renovation, with dilapidated hostels being a major concern. This not only affects the living conditions of students but also impacts their overall learning experience. Lack of Laboratory Facilities: Despite receiving equipment, the school lacks a proper laboratory to conduct practical sessions. This hampers the students' ability to gain hands-on experience, which is essential for their profession. Encroachment on School Land: The school has faced issues with encroachment on its land, which poses a threat to its expansion and development plans. Despite these challenges, Bello remains committed to improving the academic quality and student support services at the school. He guides students, ensuring their academic safety while they navigate their studies and advocate for their rights. He's currently posted to Ho SOH.
