🚨#justpublished in Journal of Applied Nanomaterials. New research from Dr. Manish K. Chourasia’s group at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India, with Rafquat Rana as lead author, presents a biomimetic nanoformulation (NM@MCN-MM) designed to tackle key challenges in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. By combining neural cell membranes with ceria nanoparticles, the team developed a nano-system that can cross the blood-brain barrier, target damaged brain regions, and address mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and calcium imbalance—hallmarks of neurodegeneration. This innovative approach shows great potential for future therapies aimed at improving brain health. 🧠💡 Congratulations to all authors! Rafquat Rana, Shourya Tripathi, Keerti Mishra, Pavan K. Yadav, Ph.D., Prem Narayan Yadav and Manish K. Chourasia 🔗 Read the full article: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsanm.5c00545 #neurodegeneration #nanomedicine
