🚨 #JustPublished in Journal of Medicinal Chemistry A new study from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India, led by Dr. Akhilesh K. Tamrakar and Dr. K.V. Sashidhara, reports the discovery of phthalazinone-triazole hybrids synthesized via Click chemistry. The paper, with Ajay Kishor Kushawaha and Arvind Kumar Jaiswal as lead authors, highlights these compounds' ability to stimulate GLUT4 translocation in skeletal muscle, an important mechanism for glucose regulation. This work opens new avenues for the development of effective therapies to manage diabetes. 👏 Congratulations to all authors!! Ajay Kishor Kushawaha, Arvind kumar Jaiswal, Pawan Kumar, Dr. Sarita Katiyar, Rahul Baghel, Hemlata Bhatt, Jay Gupta, Alisha Ansari, Poonam Yadav, Ishbal Ahmad, Abhijit Deb Choudhury, Rabi Sankar Bhatta, Akhilesh K. 🚨#JustPublished in Journal of Applied Nanomaterials. New research from Dr. Manish K. Chourasia’s group at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India, with Rafquat Rana as lead author, presents a biomimetic nanoformulation (NM@MCN-MM) designed to tackle key challenges in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. By combining neural cell membranes with ceria nanoparticles, the team developed a nano-system that can cross the blood-brain barrier, target damaged brain regions, and address mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and calcium imbalance—hallmarks of neurodegeneration. This innovative approach shows great potential for future therapies aimed at improving brain health. 🧠💡 Congratulations to all authors! Rafquat Rana, Shourya Tripathi, Keerti Mishra, Pavan K. Yadav, Ph.D., Prem Narayan Yadav and Manish K. Chourasia 🔗 Read the full article: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsanm.5c00545 #Neurodegeneration #Nanomedicine

🚨 Just Published in Biochemical Pharmacology A new study from Dr. Durga Prasad Mishra’s lab at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India, led by Abhishek Nirwan, Ph.D., explores the therapeutic potential of Coagulin-L, a natural compound derived from Withania coagulans, in treating liver fibrosis. The study demonstrates that Coagulin-L modulates the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, suppresses hepatic stellate cell activation, reduces VEGF expression and collagen deposition—ultimately improving liver function in a preclinical model of MASH. 🔗 Read the full paper: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0006295225002412?via%3Dihub Congratulations to all authors!
