Germany’s Green Party has called on authorities at all levels to begin collecting evidence that would substantiate the threats posed by the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) and provide sufficient grounds for its ban, - Tagesschau. The Greens urged the federal government and state authorities to establish a joint task force dedicated to gathering evidence of AfD’s far-right extremist activities. “This would allow all responsible bodies to develop a unified approach that would enable a swift ban,” stated Konstantin von Notz, deputy leader of the Greens’ parliamentary group in the Bundestag, and Irene Mihalic, the party’s first parliamentary secretary.
