📍Vatrakunte Village, Bangarpet Taluk, Karnataka | 7 June 2025 Modern Skills for Modern Farming! As part of the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan 2025’, a comprehensive farmer training programme was conducted by scientists from KVK Kolar in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture. The session focused on high-yield vegetable and flower crop varieties developed by IIHR, crop planning for the rainy season, soil health management, eco-friendly pest and disease control in horticulture and the use of micronutrients including IIHR Vegetable Special to boost productivity. Farmers were also introduced to value addition techniques such as grading, packaging and marketing, along with improved sericulture practices and scientific mulberry cultivation.
