Baloch Yakjehti Committee Virtual Debate Series – Session 01 | Dr. Sabiha Baloch (Part Three) Exposing the State Machinery Behind the Baloch Genocide In Awaran district, Abdul Latif a journalist, his family faced repeated harassment. His young son Saif and several relatives were illegally detained—and later, their dead bodies were found. Days after burying them, the journalist himself was shot dead while sleeping in his home, assassinated by the same notorious, state-backed death squads. In an another incident in Awaran: Pakistani armed forces raided a family home. When the family resisted, Frontier Corps personnel opened fire indiscriminately—Hoori Baloch, Naeem’s Aunt and Naeem himself were martyred on the spot, and Naeem’s mother Daadi was seriously injured. At the Hostel of Civil Hospital, Quetta, Mahjabeen Baloch, a Library Science student at the University of Balochistan, was abducted by Pakistani law enforcement agencies and CTD. Mahjabeen is a polio survivor and physically disabled. Despite her condition, she was taken illegally from within hostel and hospital premises. The incident is definitely caught on surveillance cameras installed by the hospital administration—footage that can be verified by any independent journalist or media outlet. Yet no Pakistani mainstream media outlet reported her abduction. No parliamentarian political party raised a voice. Instead, the authorities continue to falsely label BYC as “proxies” or “foreign-funded”—while the reality remains: It is BYC that is exposing the crimes and inhumane treatment inflicted by the Pakistani state on the Baloch people. Even the judiciary is complicit. With undeniable evidence and documentation, BYC presented its case in the High Court of Balochistan. But the presiding judge repeatedly delayed the hearings—day after day, until he was appointed Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court. His elevation was enabled under the 26th Constitutional Amendment—a legal cover enforced by Pakistan’s military, designed to protect its interests and shield its crimes. Once in charge, the new Chief Justice dismissed the BYC petition entirely. No legal justification—just another chapter in the continued effort to crush peaceful advocacy and suppress demands for justice. These tactics reveal the true nature of the Pakistani state. Every institution—media, courts, political parties, armed forces—has aligned to suppress truth and intensify the genocide of the Baloch people. Despite it all, BYC continues to resist peacefully, exposing every crime with courage and clarity.
