In today’s demanding world with 24-hour connectivity to work and constant digital overload, work-life balance has put us in more more stress and under more pressure than ever before. This brings in all kinds of short and long-term health issues. Meditation is now considered a body mind complementary medicine which can act as a circuit breaker for this non-stop lifestyle, giving both the mind and the body a chance to recharge & connect with our truer and higher self.🧎♀️

*Module 1 – Introduction*
- History and Origin of meditation
- Philosophy and Science of meditation
- Meditation & Pancha Kosha - Impact of meditation on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health & well-being
- Concepts of Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (Concentration) & Dhyana (Meditation) as per Patanjali Yog sutra.
- Obstacles on the path of meditation
- Preparations & General guidelines for meditation
- Do’s & Don’ts of meditation
*Module 2 – Preparation*
- Shatkarmas (cleansing actions) as a preparation for meditation.
- Understanding the importance, science & benefits of correct posture during meditation.
- Various yogic postures as recommended in yoga scriptures with variations, modifications & appropriate props for meditation practices as recommended in yoga scriptures (Do’s & Don’ts of sitting posture)
- Sukshma Vyayam (Energetic movements), warm ups and asanas for spine to help one sit in meditation for longer time with ease
- Preparatory Breath-work and pranayama as a foundation for meditation.
- Essential Mudras for meditation.
- Different types of Dristhis (Fixing the gaze) during meditation.
*Module 3 – Different Meditation Techniques*
- More than 15 authentic meditation techniques from yogic scriptures including kaya-sthairyam (preparatory meditation) .Antar mouna, cyclic meditation, chakra meditation, mantra meditation, five senses meditation, AUM meditation, heartfulness meditation etc along with the theoretical understanding & explanation of all the steps of each meditation technique.
- General meditation for stress relief, anxiety, gratitude, forgiveness, loving-kindness meditation, diseases etc.
- Several mindfulness ideas & techniques Visualization meditation
- Understand the usage of various sounds & musical instruments during guided meditation
*Module 4 – Teaching Methodology*
- Meditation Teaching Methodology.
- Art of designing meditation with systematic stages
- Art & science of designing need based personalised therapy & healing meditations for self/others
- Understanding the contra-indications of certain types of meditation and care to be taken while conducting meditation for specific mental health conditions.
- Important tips & guidelines while reading the guided meditation scripts for others.
- Guidance on setting up the classroom for meditation practise
*Who Should Do this Course?*
It is a highly recommended training course for all health care professionals, Yoga teachers, therapists, Holistic health practitioners, Healers, Reiki practitioners or any individual who wishes to serve in the health & wellness community. You can use this course to upskill. You don’t need any previous experience. Anyone who is self-motivated and willing to learn and teach meditation can join.
It is open to all individuals – Beginners to Intermediate practitioners.
