He entered the country on a study visa, which was later converted to a spousal visa through marriage. This raises one fundamental question: How is an individual on a spousal visa allowed to practise law, appear in court, and challenge the South African government in constitutional matters? This revelation confirms what we, as the Progressive Forces of South Africa (PFSA), and many concerned citizens have long suspected — that there is a clear failure in regulatory oversight, both at the Legal Practice Council (LPC) and the Department of Home Affairs. We are still awaiting formal responses from these institutions. However, this latest parliamentary reply marks a critical breakthrough in uncovering what appears to be a web of legal manipulation and institutional silence.
