Let’s be honest, modern women have it easier than almost any women in history. We have electricity, running water, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, gas stoves and endless gadgets that make housework faster and easier. We also have smaller families and way more comfort. And yet, we still hear some sisters say: “it’s not a woman’s job to cook and clean.” Then what exactly is she doing all day? Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers did it all, washing clothes by hand, grinding grains, cooking from scratch over wood fires, raising 5-10 kids and still managing the entire home. No dishwashers, no online groceries, no hired help. They did it all. Today, with all these blessings we argue about basic responsibilities? Let’s stop complaining and start appreciating.
