The Sunnah Marriage – Inspired by Prophetic love and wisdom.

SubḥānAllāh, the early generations of Muslims (Salaf) used to hide their good deeds the way we hide our sins. They feared that their sincerity might be affected by pride or showing off.
But today, almost every act of worship becomes a public display & Announcements. Whether it’s Ḥajj, ʿUmrah, fasting, prayer, or charity — we often bring it up in conversations or gatherings just to get attention. Wallāhu al-Mustaʿān. Don’t you fear Allah? Don’t you fear that your deeds might be destroyed because of this?
Social media has made this fitnah even worse, the desire to be seen doing religious acts. What should be between us and Allah becomes content. Not for benefit or knowledge, but often just to be noticed.
We forget that riyāʼ (showing off) is a hidden form of shirk — a silent destroyer of good deeds. It’s dangerous, and many fall into it without even realizing.
This isn’t about worldly matter, that’s a separate thing. Here, we’re talking about our Deen and ʿibādah. Yes, sometimes sharing information or reminder is important, but much of what we see today goes beyond that. And what’s even sadder is when some people do it under the label of “dawah” Aʿūdhu billāh — that makes it worse.
May Allah سبحانه و تعالى protect our hearts, purify our intentions, and make our deeds sincere — done only for His sake. May He save us from the fitnah of fame & deception of the online world. Āmīn.
