We are delighted to share that a research article titled "Toward Real-Time Recognition of Continuous Indian Sign Language: A Multi-Modal Approach Using RGB and Pose" has been published in IEEE Access (Q1 Journal | Impact Factor: 3.4). Congratulations to Dr. Geetha M, Dr. Neena A. , Darshik Somasundaran , Amritha Raghunath (AmritaCREATE), and Dr. Prema Nedungadi for this significant achievement. This work presents SignFlow, the first real-time continuous sign language recognition model specifically designed for Indian Sign Language (ISL). It introduces novel proxy-task-based pretraining, reimagines the transformer architecture for improved accuracy, and incorporates a frame-rate adaptive augmentation technique to ensure device-agnostic inference. The research marks a notable step forward in leveraging AI for inclusive and accessible communication. #inclusivity #aianddisabilitystudies #isl #researchexcellence #aiforaccessibility #signlanguagerecognition #indiansignlanguage #ieeeaccess #artificialintelligence #amritauniversity #amritacreate #inclusivetechnology #academicresearch #transformingeducation #aiinnovation
