The British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) continues to lead the way in utility transparency and customer empowerment with the rollout of its newly designed electricity bill format, which was officially implemented in April 2025. Since January 2025, BVIEC has contributed an estimated $3.82 million toward offsetting fuel charges for customers across the Territory. This direct contribution, which reflects the billing period from January to April, is now itemised each month under the “BVIEC Fuel Subsidy per Gallon” section, allowing customers to clearly see how the Corporation supports them in navigating global energy price volatility.
