🔌 Power Outage Notice – Anegada 🔌 The B.V.I. Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is aware of a power outage currently affecting the island of Anegada. The outage is the result of a vehicular accident involving a cement truck and utility pole in the vicinity of the water plant, which caused damage to the electrical infrastructure. A BVIEC team is actively working to repair the damage and restore electricity to the affected areas. Please note that the water plant will remain without utility power until the pole is replanted and reconnected. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.


⚠️ Power Outage UPDATE!!! – Mount Healthy to Brewers Bay ⚠️ The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is addressing a power outage affecting residents from Mount Healthy to Brewers Bay, Tortola, due to a broken connection jumper. To facilitate repairs, the feeder supplying electricity from Ridge Road to Double Bank has been temporarily turned off, affecting customers in all areas along that route. Repairs are now underway, following earlier work in the East End area. We appreciate your continued patience as our teams work diligently to restore power safely and efficiently.


🔌Power Outage Notice – Tortola & Jost Van Dyke🔌 The B.V.I. Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is aware of a power outage currently affecting customers on Tortola and Jost Van Dyke and our team is actively working to restore electricity to the impacted areas. On Tortola, the affected areas stretch from Pockwood Pond to West End, including Cappoons Bay, Carrot Bay, Cane Garden Bay, and also parts of Joe’s Hill to Windy Hill. At approximately 8:40 a.m., a power surge occurred, causing two feeders to go offline. The team is investigating the matter and will conduct line inspections before power can be safely restored to these areas. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience and understanding as restoration efforts continue.

The British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) continues to lead the way in utility transparency and customer empowerment with the rollout of its newly designed electricity bill format, which was officially implemented in April 2025. Since January 2025, BVIEC has contributed an estimated $3.82 million toward offsetting fuel charges for customers across the Territory. This direct contribution, which reflects the billing period from January to April, is now itemised each month under the “BVIEC Fuel Subsidy per Gallon” section, allowing customers to clearly see how the Corporation supports them in navigating global energy price volatility. 🌩️ Power Outage Update – Anegada 🌩️ The B.V.I. Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is informing customers on Anegada that power was interrupted at 6:45 a.m. this morning due to adverse weather conditions. #4 generator was brought online at 7:05 a.m. and village power was restored at 7:10 a.m. However, at 7:35 a.m. village power tripped again, and only the power station remains online as we await the passing of ongoing thunderstorms. The west feeder will be restored once weather conditions improve and it is safe to proceed. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this weather-related disruption.

Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is pleased to update customers that power has been fully restored to the previously affected areas on Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. All impacted communities—from Pockwood Pond to West End, including Cappoons Bay, Carrot Bay, Cane Garden Bay, and the area from Joe’s Hill to Windy Hill—have been restored, with both feeders now back online. We thank you for your patience and understanding as our team worked to safely complete inspections and restore service.


📢 Scheduled Power Outage – Long Look to Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola The B.V.I. Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is notifying customers on Tortola, from a portion of Long Look to Fat Hogs Bay, of a planned power outage on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. This outage is necessary to upgrade the high voltage system. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.
