✅️ Power Outage Update ✅️ The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to inform the public that during switching operations associated with ongoing maintenance work at the Long Bush Substation, a power interruption occurred at approximately 10:53 p.m. on Thursday, June 5. This outage affected all areas east of Sea Cows Bay, including Virgin Gorda. Power was fully restored by 12:14 a.m., however, a similar occurrence at approximately 12:19 a.m. resulted in a second outage. Restoration efforts were swiftly carried out, and full power was restored by 1:45 a.m. BVIEC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and understanding as we work to maintain and improve the reliability of the Territory’s electricity supply.
