The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is aware of a power outage currently affecting areas in Tortola. This outage is due to an overcurrent trip on the East End Feeder out of Long Bush. As a result, the following areas are currently without power: Kingstown, Fish Bay, Baughers Bay, Purcell Estate, Pasea Estate, John's Hole, Parts of Lower Estate and Parts of Long Bush. Our team is actively investigating the cause of the trip and working diligently to restore electricity as quickly and safely as possible.
