⚠️ Updated Schedule – Planned Power Outage ⚠️ The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to inform customers of a revised schedule for the previously announced power outage. The outage will now take place on the night of Monday, June 9, 2025, from 10:00 p.m. to the morning of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. Areas to be affected include: A portion of Road Town and all areas in between to East End, Beef Island, Great Camanoe, Scrub Island, Marina Cay and the entire island of Virgin Gorda. Please note that only the western side of Tortola and the island of Jost Van Dyke will not be affected by this outage. This outage is necessary to facilitate critical maintenance work at the Long Bush Substation, which includes the replacement of several voltage transformers and cleaning of the bus section of the main substation in Long Bush. This maintenance is part of a critical two-year cycle and is required to ensure the continued safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Territory’s electricity supply.
