Inquisitive Universe: A guy on Reddit hit me up trying to decide between the Itel P55 and the Itel S25. To be fair, with Itel confused marketing, anyone could get them mixed up too. Whilst he didn't know which device was better, the man had his priorities straight. These are his needs: 1. Bypass charging 2. 360 flashlight (ring light flash) 3. Large storage 4. Gaming 5. Streaming 6. A spare phone for standard apps When I looked at his needs, it was clear that the guy needed a phone with a decent processor, RAM and storage. If you noticed, he said nothing about the camera. So I looked at his options and found them lacking. The Itel P55 (4G) uses the Unisoc T606 (T7200) whilst the Itel S25 uses the Unisoc T620 (now known as the Unisoc T7280). Both processors are okay but would stress him a little bit So I proposed the Itel P55 5G and added it to the two phones he gave me. I knew clearly that it didn't have the ring light flash or bypass charging but anyone who's listened to me for years should know that I preach against putting the cart before the horse That is, I always tell people to never let marketing rubbish sway them. The only reasonable thing he would have to give up was the bypass charging. So I left my recommendation with him anyways. It took him 2 days to do his research and he decided on the one he wanted in line with my recommendation. Problem easily solved. Let's come back to my favourite people in the world 😂😂😂. The ones that share internet space with me. Hi Jeff, I need a good phone. They will proffer no options, none. They will not give you a budget and to make matters worse, they don't even know what they want and what they're willing to trade in exchange for something else. The guy in question was willing to trade bypass charging and circular ring light for better processor and faster storage which will give him better performance with apps and games. Man had his priorities straight. This is something many people do not know and quite frankly do no care. Why? Because we all want to be big babies and have someone hold our hands and make decisions for us. Something I used to do a lot. X: Sir I need a phone. Jeff: Get an iPhone 16 Pro Max X: Ah no, I can't afford that. Give me a realistic option now. Jeff: How do you expect me to offer you a realistic option when you gave me zero information? X: True, you have a point. Jeff: Okay so what's your budget and what are you looking for in a phone? X: oh I like a fast processor, very fast because I want to use my phone to work. I want good cameras oh, very good cameras because I like pictures. I want plenty RAM and storage, I want big battery and fast charging. I have 130k ($82). Jeff: All these for 130k? Ah! Your taste is high and your budget is low. Thankfully the Itel P55 5G falls into your budget. X: God forbid, Itel?! No oh Jeff: What's wrong with Itel? X: I don't know but it's not good. What about Redmi 14C? Jeff: Please buy. X: But I heard it lags a lot. I dunno, Redmi is a good phone right Jeff: Anyone X: Talk naaa, say something. I also saw Poco C61, it's around my budget. My sister said Poco is powerful, but her husband uses Oppo and the cameras are so clear. Jeff: Okay X: So which one do you suggest? Jeff: They are all good, buy the one that fits your budget. Two weeks later X: Hello sir, so I saw the Realme C75, is it a good phone? Can I buy? Jeff: I hope you know it's 239,000 ($150) X: it's a lie! It's over my budget. One week later X: Hello sir, what are your thoughts on the Oppo A5 Pro. My friend said the phone is mad. You know I'm still yet to buy a phone. Jeff: If you have 330k ($200) to give to Oppo, then do X: Jesus! 330k! Ah no oh Till now, they're still yet to buy. How do you help people who do not want to help themselves? I sometimes find myself stressing over this. I once thought that throwing the information up in the air would help a lot of these people but we've been doing this for 5 years and there seems to be no improvement.
