SHORT AND SHARP WITH DR SOLA ALIMI May 29, 2025. 11:43pm. THERE'S NO FRIEND LIKE HIM. He left His unfathomable glory to live with a mortal man like me. Other guys whom we shared moments together from childhood pushed me out of their lives because of some perishable earthly treasure they have been able to gather, bragging around with overblown ego and class distinction. They saw me as being too low to their own network of friends. They were however shocked to see my life transformed and beautified by Christ. Indeed, there's no one like Him. He saw me sentenced by the judge. He walked into the courtroom and requested the judge to let Him take my place. The judge, though bewildered, agreed to let me off the hangman's noose while my great Redeemer was treated like a common criminal and made to face death and Hell that He did not deserve. Other earthly friends were excited by the sentence of the judge as if they've never broken any known law. My so-called trusted buddy joyously remarked: Good riddance to bad rubbish. They never knew that my Sunday would be brighter than my Friday. He is the only friend who will go out of His way to meet my needs without making me feel like a burden the next time I need His help. Others have seen me as a pauper who should be avoided like a plague. He is the provider who has never run out of supply. Help me tell His story all over land and sea that there's no one like Him.
