Digital piracy in Malaysia presents a growing threat to copyright protection, driven by rapid technological advancements and increasing online content demand. Despite the implementation of site-blocking mechanisms under Section 263 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 43C(2) of the Copyright Act 1987, piracy continues to cause significant financial losses and undermine creative industries. This paper examines the effectiveness of these legal tools in curbing access to pirated content, evaluates their limitations, and proposes strategic enhancements to strengthen Malaysiaโ€™s anti-piracy framework in the face of evolving digital challenges. .
