But it wasn’t just personal elements that switched up, it was also business with Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI). The company was a force in NASCAR, with Jr. leading the way in his No. 8 car and having a huge fanbase backing him. However, Jr. left in 2007 and eventually joined Hendrick Motorsports in 2008.
