#womancrushwednesday Effective ART adherence is a crucial aspect of managing HIV/AIDS, and it's essential to recognize the vital role that parents and caregivers play in this process. As Rufaro Zvirahwa, our Programs Assistant, says, "There is no way we can achieve effective ART adherence without including parents and caregivers." By involving them in the care and support of their loved ones, we can significantly improve treatment outcomes and overall well-being. Parents and caregivers are often the primary caregivers for Youths living with HIV, and they can provide emotional support, remind them to take their medication, and help them navigate the healthcare system. However, they often require capacity building to effectively support their loved ones. By providing them with the necessary training, resources, and support, we can empower them to play a more active role in promoting ART adherence. Let's work together to support parents and caregivers in their crucial role. By doing so, we can improve treatment outcomes, reduce the risk of transmission, and enhance the overall quality of life for Youths living with HIV. We can make a difference by providing capacity building opportunities for parents and caregivers, and by recognizing the importance of their role in promoting ART adherence.
