🌍 Join the Movement: Become a Certified Mental Health First Aider! 🧠💚 Are you passionate about supporting mental health in your community? Africans for Mental Health (AFMH) offers free, evidence-based Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to equip individuals with the skills to recognize and respond to mental health challenges. This initiative aims to empower community members to promote mental wellness, early intervention, and suicide prevention.   Who Can Participate? The training is open to everyone aged 18 and older—no prior mental health background required. Ideal participants include: • Family caregivers and friends • Students, educators, and school staff • Workplace professionals and HR personnel • Faith-based leaders and community organizers • Healthcare providers and emergency responders Training Highlights: • Understand common mental health issues and substance use disorders • Learn to identify risk factors and warning signs • Develop skills to provide initial support and guide individuals to appropriate help • Receive a certificate upon completion   By October 2025, AFMH aims to train: • 470 QPR Gatekeepers & Suicide Prevention Allies • 40 Youth Mental Health First Aiders • 300 Adult Mental Health First Aiders   Get Involved: • Register for training: AFMH Trainings • Join Team Conquerors: Team Conquerors Program • Follow AFMH on Facebook: Africans for Mental Health  Let’s work together to break the stigma surrounding mental health and build supportive communities.
