*WORD FOR THE DAY*
TOPIC: *RUN TO HIM AND HE WILL MAKE TO WHOLE...*
In life when you don’t just want a miracle, you want restoration. You don’t just want the bleeding to stop, you want to be made whole. You don’t just want a breakthrough, you want to be transformed. And that, my beloved, is the heart of this message today. Everyone in the Bible that was sick and Jesus touched, got healed. But she touched Jesus and was made whole. Let us pause and reflect on that. Throughout the pages of the Gospels, we read of the blind who received sight when Jesus touched their eyes. The lame walked when Jesus reached down and held them. The lepers were cleansed, the mute spoke, the deaf heard, all because Jesus laid hands on them. When He comes to you, the miraculous happens. When He touches you, power flows. And yes, when He moves towards you, sickness flees, demons tremble, and darkness is dispelled. But there was one woman whose story stands apart like a diamond in the dust. She didn’t wait for Jesus to come to her. She didn’t cry out for attention. She didn’t ask for anyone to speak on her behalf. For twelve years, her body bled and her soul bled with it. The doctors failed her. Her savings were gone. Society had rejected her. She was labeled "unclean." She had every reason to sit back and wait to die, but she didn't. She touched Him. Not His hand. Not His face. Not even His foot. She touched the hem of His garment. And that single moment of faith, of desperation, unlocked what twelve years of effort and human help could not give her: wholeness. The Bible says in Mark 5:34, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” Did you hear that? Jesus didn’t just say, “You are healed.” He said, “You are made whole.”
Healing is when the bleeding stops. Wholeness is when your story is rewritten. Healing is when the pain ceases. Wholeness is when the shame leaves. Healing is when you are better. Wholeness is when you are restored. When Jesus touches you, you get your miracle. But when you pursue Him, when you press through the crowd, when you touch Him, not only do you get healed, you get made whole. Sometimes it's not enough to sing "Draw me close to You"; you must press through the noise, push past the crowd, and reach for His hem. Because when you pursue Jesus, you are not just seeking His hand, you are going after His heart. And those who seek Him with their whole heart find more than miracles; they find meaning, they find mercy, they find themselves made whole. Don’t just be content with temporary relief when God is offering eternal restoration. Don’t just wait for a touch when the door is open for pursuit. It is not enough to just clap and say "Amen" about Jesus. You must reach out. You must touch Him with your heart, with your hunger, with your humility. Because the difference between being healed and being whole is this: When He comes to you, He will meet your need. But when you run after Him, He will exceed your need.
And when you touch Him, not casually, not carelessly, but desperately, He will turn around in the middle of the multitude and say, “Who touched Me?” Because true faith doesn’t just pull healing, it draws Heaven's attention.
Your servant,
