Here’s a call for industriousness. It is highly profitable, noble and soul soothing for a man to be found doing something tangible with his days and hands; putting to use the power, capacity and tactfulness that God has so lovingly bestowed. The knowledge of the fact that something meaningful and worthwhile have been done during the day and that the resources and abilities God has blessed you with have been gainfully deployed (knowing fully well you’ll have to give account of how you utilized the gifts to the One who gave them) brings about a peace immeasurable. At such moments, whether or not you have much to eat, your sleep must be sweet. On the contrary when a man has too much to eat; especially when he have no need to put in the effort of earning it, gluttony sets in and with a gluttonously full stomach rest is aborted. For this cause my son, I beseech you; do not be enticed by quick wealth.
