Theme: Mobile Phone Data For Tourism Statistics Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), in collaboration with NITI Aayog, is hosting a two-day national workshop titled "National Workshop on Using Alternate Data Sources and Frontier Technologies for Policy Making", from June 5–6, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The featured session, "Mobile Phone Data For Tourism Statistics", will include the speakers mentioned above. The workshop aims to enhance the understanding among the stakeholders and to provide a platform to deliberate on the potential applications of alternate data sources and frontier technologies in policy-making. It also aims strengthen India’s statistical systems by supplementing the conventional data sources for evidence-based policy decisions in a timely manner.
