Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), in collaboration with NITI Aayog, is hosting a two-day national workshop titled "National Workshop on Using Alternate Data Sources and Frontier Technologies for Policy Making", from June 5–6, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The featured session, "AI and Data Science for Official Statistics", will include the speakers mentioned above. With growing relevance of alternate data sources—like mobile phone data, scanner data, and geospatial data—and rapid advances in AI and frontier technologies, the workshop aims to deepen stakeholder understanding and explore their application in policymaking.
