An open letter to anyone who once failed to see the bright side of life:
I know that a lot of things happen to all of us and the intensity that those things brought into our lives varies from each and everyone's perspective. The thing that I am suffering from might be just an easy thing to carry for the others or vice versa. Here's a thing: The darkness that surrounds you and seems to suffocate you in any ways is also the darkness that will makes your light brighter than it ever does. You might feel so empty or sad that you don't know anymore where your life is going but you still have to continue your journey because later on, everything you can't see before will be the light that'll guide you towards your dream. As of now, you may be throwing a lot of questions to life because everything seems to be a mess but be mindful that it's not yet late to reorganize yourself, reset your perspective, and see life's bright sides. Refrain from laying your eyes on the misanthropy that every human being has. Do not spend your time holding onto the bars of negativity because if you do, you'll only feel like you're caged in a dark hole together with your pessimistic side and all the darkest sides of life. You may think that I can say all these with an ease because I am not feeling what you're feeling right now but believe me, I've been there before. I spent quite a long time seeing myself as a bad person to the point that kind words and compliments didn't work to cheer me up, instead, it only does otherwise. I've been used to defining myself as a trash because I thought no one wants to be with someone who is a prisoner of negativity and so I just let myself drown in the sea of insecurities and emptiness, but I was wrong. Not because you see yourself as a trash, also means that other people will see you the same way you see yourself. I've learned that our perspective really affects the way we live. We cannot deny the fact that each of us went through something that will test the way we see things but this also comes with the worst and best thing we can get from life— its never ending lessons.
To anyone who is currently facing that darkness that I once thought will dwell within me, look for the light that will guide you to emancipate yourself from that dark hole. This may be tough at first but I know that you can and you will survive this phase because you are "the captain of your soul" and He is your savior.
