THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE😭
CHAPTER 1
Written by DaZaR Visionary writers
I was walking through the woods, the rustling of leaves beneath my feet the only sound breaking the silence. Then, I heard a faint cry for help. My heart racing, I quickened my pace, following the sound to a nearby clearing. What I saw made my blood run.
A man was brutally attacking a young woman, a knife held to her throat. I shouted, "Hey, get away from her!" The man looked up, his eyes wild with desperation, and warned, "If you come near, I'll slit her throat open."
I begged him to spare her life, but before I could intervene, he plunged the knife into her chest and fled. The woman's eyes locked onto mine, pleading for help. I rushed to her side, trying to remove the knife, but before I could, the villagers arrived, and their eyes filled with anger and accusation.
"Bastard, we've caught you!" one of them growled, their voices filled with venom. "You're the one who's been terrorizing our village, raping and killing our women."
I protested my innocence, but they wouldn't listen. "No, I didn't do it! I was trying to help her!" I pleaded, but my words fell on deaf ears.
As they dragged me away, the woman's lifeless body lay on the ground, a stark reminder of the tragedy that had unfolded. I was falsely accused, and my fate seemed sealed. The villagers' anger and hatred were palpable, and I knew I had to find a way to prove my innocence before it was too late.
As they dragged me away, I struggled to break free, but their grip was too strong. I pleaded with them to listen to me, to see the truth in my eyes, but they just laughed and cursed at me.
"We've caught the monster," one of them spat. "You'll pay for what you've done."
I was thrown into a dark, damp cell, with no window and no light. The villagers' anger and hatred still lingered in the air, and I could feel their malice seeping into my bones.
I paced back and forth in the cell, trying to think of a way to prove my innocence. I knew I had to act fast, before the villagers' anger turned to violence.
As the hours passed, I heard the sound of footsteps outside my cell. The door creaked open, and a figure stood in the doorway.
"You're a clever one, aren't you?" the figure said, its voice dripping with sarcasm. "Thinks you can fool everyone with your innocent act."
I looked up, trying to see the figure's face, but it was shrouded in shadows.
"I'm telling the truth," I said, my voice firm. "I didn't do it. I was trying to help her."
The figure chuckled. "We'll see about that," it said. "The villagers are eager to mete out justice. But I might be willing to listen to your side of the story... for a price."
