By Arron Nyamayaro, H-Metro - THE sensational fallout between Compassion Junior School owner Pastor Asmeri Jeffreys and her former headmaster, David Garudzo, spilled onto the premises of Epworth Magistrate Court after it sucked in a third party.
The explosive row has been fuelled by bombshell allegations, including a bizarre one in which Garudzo claims he was ordered to draw blood from the fingers of his pupils for ritual purposes.
Pastor Jeffreys has denied the allegations and dismissed Garudzo’s claims.
Garudzo spent just one month as headmaster at the school before tendering his resignation.
He is the one who has dragged Pastor Jeffreys to court, seeking a protection order.
But, before the case could be heard in court, a third party – Garudzo’s landlord – was sucked into the drama and appeared at court demanding his outstanding rentals amounting to US$120.
Garudzo, however, feels the move is meant to intimidate him ahead of the trial.
“Pastor Jeffreys is the one who was paying for my rentals,” said Garudzo.
“She wanted to make a counter attack with the intention of delaying me from attending the court.
“Court officials failed to locate the documents until they moved the date to June 16.”
Pastor Jeffreys was reported to have pleaded with the court officials to be excused and to move the date arguing that she is attending a church function in Domboshava.
Garudzo, who is also a pastor, now claims he quit because he rejected attempts to lure him into some dark arts to draw some blood from the pointing fingers of his pupils, which he believed would be used for rituals.
He said Pastor Jeffreys allegedly hit back at him, when he called it quits, by taking two of his shirts and his fears are that they are also being used for rituals.
Pastor Jeffreys has dismissed Garudzo’s bombshell allegations and she claims they are just meant to tarnish the name of her school and her ministry.
“I am a church leader and Garudzo is a pastor of another church.
“He joined my school recently and started to accuse me of drawing blood from learners.
“If his allegations were true, parents could have descended on me long back.
“These allegations are far-fetched and meant to destroy my school as well as my ministry.
“As for the shirts, I took them because I am the one who sewed them with the intention of dressing my school head to look better.
“He joined us looking shabby but with good qualifications.
“I am not into rituals and I never drew any blood of the learners as alleged,” said Pastor Jeffreys. H-Metro
