Samuel Mvurume was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa.
The complainant is Gelswa (Pvt) Ltd, a duly registered company that owns a conservancy at Lot 2 of Bompost, Masvingo.
The game park measures 910,4991 acres.
Mvurume’s suspected accomplices – Keegan Diamond and Tawona Mutepfa of Sky Ryan Properties – appeared in court over the weekend.
The court heard that on May 13, Mvurume and his accomplices connived to defraud Gelswa (Pvy) Ltd of its game park in Masvingo.
The trio allegedly fraudulently obtained papers of the game park – a copy of deed of transfer and a share certificate in the name of Emmanuel Gumbo.
They allegedly then misrepresented that the game park was being sold by the complainant.
They then gave information to an assistant, Charity Chakombeka, to make all the logistics for the sale of the property.
Diamond then advertised the property on social media, selling it.
Mutepfa allegedly purported that his employer, Sky Ryan Properties, was selling the property on behalf of the complainant.
On June 4, Gumbo saw his company’s property being advertised and was surprised since he was not selling the property.
Gumbo was also surprised about how the trio obtained the property’s documents.
He suffered a potential prejudice of US$2,5 million.
