The Chief Executive of Sheffield City Council has described the £1.5 billion being awarded to South Yorkshire as part of the Government’s £15 billion for transport projects as “game changing”.
The funding will allow SYMCA to press ahead with improvements to our tram system. It will also support our ambitions to extend the network.
In addition it will help us make improvements to our buses, including brand new electric vehicles, and help to clean up the air we breathe.
