On Saturday 7 June, we proudly welcomed the MSC Germany on both her maiden voyage and first call to the Port of Felixstowe, proudly piloted by our Senior Pilot Mark Morrison, and supported by our hardworking operational teams. 🛠️ Fresh from the Shipyard Delivered on 7 April 2025 and built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Co. Ltd in China, the MSC Germany is the latest in a new wave of advanced containerships - and making waves for all the right reasons. 🌊 📦 Built to Carry Big: The MSC Germany is the fifth vessel in a cutting-edge series of liquified natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel containerships. With a capacity of 16,000 TEU, she combines scale with environmental responsibility, proving you don’t have to choose between power and progress. LNG dual-fuel significantly reduces emissions of sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter, which demonstrates a major step forward in decarbonising global shipping. ⚓ Futureproofing the Haven Our upgraded deep-water berths and approach channels mean we can seamlessly accommodate vessels like the MSC Germany.
