🚨🚨🚧🚧🚨🚨 *When Jet Fuel Tanker Was Hit and Set Ablaze off England* 11/06/2025, 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓯𝓪𝓻𝓮𝓻'𝓼 𝓾𝓹𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓮 On March 10, 2025, the oil tanker Stena Immaculate, contracted by the U.S. military, was struck at anchor off Humberside, England by the smaller Portuguese-flagged cargo ship Solong. The collision caused fires and explosions aboard the tanker, which was carrying 220,000 barrels of Jet-A1 fuel. Crowley, the vessel’s operator, confirmed damage to one fuel tank and one ballast tank. Around 17,515 barrels were lost in the three-day fire. Stena Bulk, the shipowner, later clarified that two of the 18 onboard fuel tanks had leaked. Cleanup efforts began after nurdles were found in nearby waters. The Solong’s captain, Vladimir Motin, was charged with gross negligence manslaughter following the death of Filipino crew member Mark Angelo Pernia.
