13/06/2025, 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓯𝓪𝓻𝓮𝓻'𝓼 𝓾𝓹𝓭𝓪𝓽𝓮 Japanese container transport company Ocean Network Express (ONE) took delivery of the newbuild container vessel, ONE Sapphire, on 12th June. The delivery ceremony was held at Imabari Shipbuilding's Marugame yard in Kagawa, Japan. The Singapore-flagged vessel has a length of 335.94 metres, a beam of 51 metres, and a gross tonnage of 140,233. The shipbuilder, Imabari Shipbuilding, has claimed that the vessel has been designed with environmental friendliness and future compatibility in mind. The vessel's design can accommodate future conversions to either methanol or ammonia and can be fitted easily with carbon capture equipment.
