The Sweden-flagged passenger ship St. Erik, carrying 123 passengers and eight crew members, ran aground on June 13th, shortly after 1:00 p.m. local time, in the Gothenburg archipelago, located off the west coast of Sweden.
Five passengers suffered minor injuries, who reportedly fell during the grounding. However, no medical emergencies were required for injured passengers.
Following the incident, St. Erik successfully refloated and proceeded under its own power to Fiskebäck harbour, where the rescue personnel conducted a thorough inspection of the vessel. No sign of leak or water ingress was found aboard the ship.
