Crimean Tatars in Focus: Narva Exhibition Traces a Century of Persecution The exhibition “Qirim Içün / For the Sake of Crimea” has opened at Narva College in Estonia, drawing powerful connections between the Soviet deportation of Crimean Tatars and Russia’s ongoing campaign of repression in occupied Crimea. Through personal stories, historical documents, and compelling visuals, it sheds light on a struggle for identity, memory, and justice that continues to this day. Supported by Ukrainian and Estonian institutions and opened by Narva’s Mayor Katri Raik, the exhibition stands as a strong gesture of solidarity with the Crimean Tatar people. On view until August 1, it invites visitors to reflect on shared histories of resistance and the urgent need to protect human rights across borders.
