In May, at least 183 civilians were killed and 836 injured in Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks, according to a report by the United Nations.
“Civilian casualties in May were recorded in 17 regions of Ukraine and in Kyiv, including areas located far from the front line.
28% of civilian deaths were caused by missile strikes and loitering munitions. An equal share of casualties resulted from short-range drone attacks. Artillery shelling and multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes accounted for 21% of civilian deaths, while 18% were caused by aerial bombings,” the UN reported.
