Foreign Minister Sybiha, following Russia’s shelling of Kremenchuk and ahead of the G7 summit in Canada, called for strengthened energy sanctions against Russia. According to the minister, the barbaric attack on Kremenchuk’s energy infrastructure is part of Russia’s campaign to bombard Ukraine’s civilian energy facilities. In his view, Moscow intends to strike Ukraine’s energy system while the world’s attention is focused on the Middle East.
