We are hiring Forklift Operator Our client is a leading player manufacture of energy products in the East Africa region. They have retained our services to support hiring process for a Forklift Operator. The main purpose of the role is to support production and supply chain functions through transfer/movement of raw materials, finished goods and any other item requiring forklift use while maintaining highest levels of efficiency, safety and without damage to material, product or plant assets. Key Responsibilities • Loading and offloading materials and stacking them appropriately at designated places or as assigned by Production /Warehouse Supervisor(s) while adhering to the applicable work instruction manuals and 6s guidelines. • Transport raw materials/Acid to production workstations and finished goods to warehouses. • Locating and moving stock of products and materials on pallets, crates or skids to racks/stores/WIP area for storage or to trucks for shipment. • Cleaning of the forklift at the end of every shift, identifying abnormalities, correcting or liaising with engineering to ensure any abnormalities are corrected within the shortest time possible. • Inspect the forklift at the start of each shift to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance undertake minor adjustments, greasing and oiling. • Ensuring timely fueling of the forklift and maintaining records of the same.
